PARKING. DROP AND GO. PARK AND RIDE.

RACE DAY LOGISTICS

To run a race in the Magoebaskloof forests is not an easy logistical undertaking. We have gone the extra mile to make sure that you have the most pleasant racing experience at the Magoebas Ultra.

We have come up with 3 solutions to make sure that you get to the race venue, Debengeni Falls, in a pleasant and efficient way on the 19th of March 2023.

GETTING TO AND FROM THE RACE VENUE

3 OPTIONS TO GET TO AND FROM DEBENGENI FALLS

1

PARKING AT THE FALLS

Due to limited space at Debengeni Falls, there will only be a very limited number of parking spots available at Debengeni. Therefore, only the 50KM runners will be able to park at Debengeni.

We advise the use of a high clearance vehicle, and we also ask that people car-pool where possible. We want to limit the amount of vehicles in the forests as far as possible.

Please also note that you might need to walk up to 700 meters to get to the start.

2

DROP AND GO

The second option to get to and from Debengeni Falls is a drop and go option. There will be a dedicated drop and go spot at the Debengeni Falls. Your support crew can drop and pick you up at this point.

This will require your support crew to drive the 3 km's from the tar road to the drop and go point. A car with good ground clearance is highly recommended, especially in wet conditions. Please see the location of the drop and go point in graphic below.

3

PARK AND RIDE

The third option available to athletes and spectators/support crew is a park and ride option. There will be two dedicated parking areas close to Debengeni Falls. One at Magoebaskloof Dam and the other at Krabbefontein.

Runners and supporter will be able to get a ride on a shuttle from these parking areas. The shuttles will drop you at the Debengeni Falls.

Shuttle tickets will cost R 130 per person (for a return trip). These can also be added to your entry via Entryninja.
