WHAT IS THE MAGOEBAS ULTRA TRAIL?

The Magoebas Ultra Trail is a premium trail running event hosted in the magical Magoebaskloof Valley in Limpopo, South Africa. The current flagship event of the Magoebas Ultra Trail, is the Magoebas Forest Marathon. 

There's an African proverb that says it takes a village to raise a child and we are of the view that it takes a village to run an ultra trail.

At the heart of the Magoebas Ultra Trail is its people, community, breathtaking natural beauty, vibrant authentic Limpopo energy and its epic trails and views.

This is more than just a trail event for us. The vision is to promote local establishments and businesses in the Magoebas area by sports eco-tourism.

You have to come and experience the authenticity and unsurpassed beauty of this place for yourself. What better way than on your own two feet with your 'village' and loved ones cheering you on?

The Magoebas Ultra Trail is about serious adventure through the beautiful Magoebaskloof and over the Wolkberg mountains. 

You will be able to test yourself, in nature, in one of South Africa's most beautiful areas. The Magoebas Trail Series is about adventure and exploring your limits.

MOVEMENT

We have a passion for movement and using our bodies to explore the natural world. There is nothing more liberating than exploring beautiful places by foot.

The Magoebas Ultra Trail is movement adventures that will take you to breathtaking places and push you to shatter your own limits.

COMMUNITY

Community forms the foundation of the Magoebas Ultra Trail. These events can't happen without the support of the people of the Magoebaskloof valley. You can't run an ultra race without the support of your own community backing you. 

This race is about people and about uplifting the community that hosts it.

We love this beloved country of ours and we are committed to develop and promote it to the best of our ability. 

There has never been a time that it is more important to invest in local travel and domestic tourism than now. The Magoebas Ultra Trail aim to promote local travel and tourism into the beautiful Magoebaskloof valley and surrounds.
